The past year was one of perseverance.
Every new year holds mystery of what those twelve months will be like and what will lay ahead of us, and 2020 was certainly unpredictable. When I look back, I see an incredible amount of change. The year changed the way we look at health, the way we come together as a community, the way we grew as a company, and changed the way we work together. While we continue to learn new things every day, the year definitely changed us in so many ways.
What we want to say first.
We can’t move forward without first saying THANK YOU. Thank you for your perseverance, hard work, and support through all this change. Thank you for continuing to advance Elanco, while balancing many life disruptions. Your contributions are at the center of our company’s efforts to build to lead in animal health. You’ve made personal sacrifices, overcome many external challenges, and continued to deliver above and beyond expectations. You should all be proud of this; so, first and foremost, thank you.
A look ahead.
While we race into 2021, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
We continue prioritize the work that we do, and the value that we provide to the business. While separation from Lilly and integration of Bayer has been our core focus over the last two years, we’re in a great position to begin to advance our strategic vision for what IT can do for Elanco. We’re actively aligning our vision across the company’s leadership teams, in order to prepare for shifts later in 2021.
Completing the separation from Lilly and effectively operating as an independent company remains our primary focus in 2021. We will also kick-off the complete integration of BAH, and several new digital pilots and new ways of working to help advance and transform our company. Attached please find the 2021 Essential Wins that the IT Leadership team has started socializing throughout the company.
Our goal is to deliver high value and great outcomes to our animal health business by maintain secure, dependable, reliable operations while driving new digital innovations. We will continue to provide information as we advance these pilots, and you can expect more details of future steps as we continue to realize our plan.
Entering 2021, one word sticks with me on my expectations for the coming year – thrive: to grow; to progress toward a goal despite or because of circumstances.
We learned a lot about perseverance with all the change in 2020; we’ll certainly build upon those lessons learned. However, this I know: if we persevered though one of the most challenging years of our lives in 2020, we can do more than persevere in 2021…
We can thrive in IT.
