TechOps Transition Update

Only got a minute? Here’s what you need to know from TechOps:

  1. Zoom security Update
  2. Green Light for Phase 2 of Service Desk Go Live

Zoom -  Jo Hutchins-Joss & Taylor Hobbs

  • Did you see our update in Elanco Insider?  Zoom security Update
  • You might have noticed you now have a new button in your Zoom meetings. The Security Toolbar Icon for Hosts allows the meeting host to have a Security option in their meeting controls. This exposes all of Zoom’s existing in-meeting security controls one place. This includes locking the meeting, enabling Waiting Room, and more. For more information, please visit this recently published Blog.
  • We’ll continue to work with Infosec to monitor Zoom’s updates and releases to ensure we protect Elanco but minimise disruption to the business.
  • Zoom support is moving over the new Elanco Helpdesk. TechOps will still be working on tickets that HCL are not yet able to resolve e.g. where access to Lilly systems is required, but HCL will be helping with logging tickets and working through known issues. This means that problems should be reported via the Lilly helpdesk in the first instance, and Lilly will swivel chair these tickets to HCL.

Service Desk – Adam Fussey

  • We have given HCL the green light to proceed with Phase 2 of the Service Desk go-live on 20th April as planned.  Significant changes are:
    • IVR integration with ServiceNow, prompting users for employee ID, and ‘screen pop’ of details to the agent.
    • Future state dial-in numbers for migrated users, using the global ESC numbers, offering a consistent ‘support’ model across all support functions.
    • More onboarded staff with deeper access to the Elanco environment, ready to take on other services.
  • We agreed to move 2 processes into a small sub-phase go live because they weren’t quite ready (Major Incident Management and lost/stolen devices) but those should go live within the next couple of weeks.

  • In the same meeting we agreed to defer the greenlight for HCL taking on management of AD/AAD by 24 hours, pending getting a couple of key resources the right permissions in our environment.  If we can resolve that today this service will also go live next week.
