To streamline the process for supporting applications to production on time, with quality, and adhering to our IT principles, TechOps and the PMO have created a Project Tracker in MS Teams that provides everyone in IT with visibility into progress.
This Tracker in the all IT Teams helps guide applications & infrastructure teams through the IT Playbook to ensure the right steps are followed. Items tracked:
- Project Charter - - The high-level What/Why/How of your project, what are the key milestones?
- Validation Risk Assessment - Work with Quality to view the risk involved with your project
- Application CI - Make a record of your application in ServiceNow
- Infrastructure CI - Make a record of your Infrastructure needs
- Solutions Architecture Review - Submit your Charter and Solutions Architecture design on your project card
- User Groups Created - Behind the scenes, the team will create standard project security groups to grant access
- Validation Documents Routed - Wrap-up qualification documentation
- Knowledge Article Written - Share documentation regarding your app to the support desk
- Service Readiness Questionnaire Complete - This document helps frame if you’re ready to go-live as an enterprise service
If you are listed as the IT Execution Lead for the project – you will start being assigned to these projects in the tracker to ensure your project team is following the right steps for success.
