Network / Telephony – Paul Graham

  • It has been a few weeks since the last Network workstream update, but it has been a hive of activity.  In addition to the test lab built advanced technology centre of our partner, WWT, we are building more hands-on labs in Basingstoke and Greenfield (KIPP building).  These will allow us to perform hands-on testing of SAP as well as the new workplace and telephony solutions and we are planning to open up these labs to showcase some of the new equipment that we are proposing to deploy for Elanco colleagues next year; there’s nothing like the joy of a new gadget!
  • The Contact Centre in Warsaw is now live and supporting the US and Canadian colleagues with the associated Workday roll out.  Although this is currently a temporary facility, the deployment has been a successful demonstration the partnership between Commercial IT, WWT and ETS.
  • Another Elanco site is online!  Manila, Philippines was added to the Elanco network this week and the local team have given some great feedback about the performance of the new infrastructure.  The roll out juggernaut will continue with Sesto, Italy and Paris, France in the next couple of weeks.

OCM and Training

  • We have alignment from the enterprise OCM team on our training proposal, which we are now working into the T-Minus plan for site migrations. We are about 60% through loading Knowledge Articles into the Spot for the self-service training option, and these are also being loaded into the Enterprise OCM playbooks. The remaining knowledge articles we need have been identified and queued up for creation by the ETS team.
  • We have a walkthrough today with the tenant migration POC team to address the remaining FAQs This should help Fleishman to finalise the content in the Wave 3 playbooks.

Service Management (Ben Nuthak)

  • If you have any questions, please begin with TheSpot.Elanco.com/sp.  Leave feedback in the articles if you can’t find what you’re looking for!

Support – Adam Fussey

  • Support transition activities have begun to allow HCL to pick up the services WWT are building.  The HCL team are in Basingstoke next week to formally kick off the Transition Phase of the programme face-to-face with some of the ETS leadership team, WWT leaders and subject matter experts.
  • The next few months look like being very busy to ensure services and support is ready to run the services as they’re delivered.

Automation – Sam Stenton

  • Working with D&A to include their catalogue items within Embotics
  • Initial build out of Kubernetes infrastructure (Heroku replacement)
  • Lots of work being done to qualify the current environment to allow wider use in the coming months.

Site Cutovers and Migrations

  • Our new office in Manilla has been brought online to our Elanco network.  They have successfully transitioned from temporary network gear, to our full SD-WAN environment.
  • This is our first site where we have leverage WWT’s global partner Black Box to assist with the network configuration.

Manilla Team

  • Many thanks to Adrian Cho and Mike Garver from ETS who worked through the design, planning and execution of our environment there.  Special thanks to Henry Lim who has consistently partnered with us across APAC.  On a final note, I would like to recognize and remember Tee (Kawinwat Karnsiritanont); who passed away earlier this year.  We would not have been able to have the commercial team move in early to this office without his amazing effort.
