Cloud – Lu Halstead

  • Business case and technical assessment in progress to change the Azure Subscription design to be more scalable, granular and promotes a future shared responsibility model. This will help democratise the use of cloud where business areas can build cloud solutions and manage them in a secure manner.
  • Impact assessment underway to use Terraform as the strategic provisioning tool beyond the use of Azure ARM templates. ARM can still be used but Terraform will be considered as the strategic tool of choice due to the supportability of multiple cloud platforms as well as the ability to provision on-premise vSphere resources with the same tool.
  • Tech Talk on What is Cloud was presented by Lu Lu Halstead and Sam Stenton, please look forward to further Tech Talks on the subject to present use cases and other deep dives. If there is a deep dive topic you would like us to present, please let us know!

Bad Homburg’s move to the new Elanco offices has been successfully completed. Employees moved in during the morning and were able to continue their work in the new office before lunch time the same day.
The following IT services have been established and are up and running.

  • Elanco’s SD Wan with a Elanco own circuit
  • Data room with a new UPS and AC has been setup.
  • Elanco’s Guest WiFi is up and running with full coverage
  • Xerox MFP with interim Scanto mail function is in place
  • 2 meeting rooms with the new Logitec Rally Plus have been installed and already providing a great user experience.

ETS would like to give a special thanks to Jurgen Lang and Marko Arapovic for their great work to get everything configured.
And a warm thanks to our local Elanco PM, Corina Lehnert, who did a great job to arrange, prepare and support all the local topics to make this move a great success.
Next up Sesto!
