Service Management (Ben Nuthak)
- This week, representation from over a half dozen consultancy firms and service providers assembled downtown Indianapolis to negotiate a mutually aligned SLA stack and finalize the contracts for CenturyLink, HCL, and Infosys simultaneously. The focus was on 3 shared metrics for our service providers:
- Return to Operations (time based),
- Customer Satisfaction (survey based),
- Customer Effort (mix of survey and automation).
???????
- Entering the week, it was obvious that all three vendors were apprehensive and skeptical, as this mindset is a significant leap from their typical engagement style. But by the end of the week all of the stakeholders collaborated and committed to a shared SLA stack that was applicable, achievable, and a critical value to our overall IT service delivery. It holds each vendor accountable for the holistic experience of the end-user, regardless of the service the individual vendor provides to the mix. The apprehension gave way to optimism and we began to see clear excitement and investment. All three vendors are now in the final stages of contract negotiation and signing. Furthermore, though each of the vendors have some element of competing service offerings, they have expressed the rare and exciting intention to continue open dialog and partnership among each-other in order to ensure the combined success of the overall engagement. They’re also motivated to success by recognizing that, if we get this right, it’s a leap forward toward the “Effortless Era”, and a value-add to their future engagements.
- ServiceNow/The Spot is completing the final stages of QA validation and is on track to soft-launch November 1 with a formal, communicated, big-bang go-live on November 4. A number of stakeholders are preparing the formal communications, change champion materials, and go-live support strategy at this time. Please expect a ramp-up of just-in-time communications in the coming weeks.
- As always, if you have any questions, please begin with TheSpot.Elanco.com. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, leave feedback in the Knowledge Base which helps us keep relevant content populated there. Your feedback and rating of the knowledge articles will also drive the Customer Effort scoring of all of our vendors, so begin the habit now to help us get some baseline data.
- Please excuse delays or misses in one-off communication in the coming weeks, as these many months of exceptionally challenging work and coordination are now at the boiling up in preparation for launch!

- We need some responses from you around your applications and what authentication methods they use, we put an initial request out in teams here, we’re also sending a more formal request out to the application owners (via the PMO) as part of a broader data request.
- If you aren’t in the top list, please share with us below your application name, owner and the type of authentication it’s using, if possible it’d also be great to hear about the user base of the application but we know some groups haven’t got that yet!
- These answers are absolutely critical so that we can plan to support the transition of these applications from Lilly to Elanco.

- We’re about 60% through the FAQ spreadsheet which will populate the Wave 3 Playbooks, pending the results of the Tenant migration POC. These playbooks are designed to equip change champions with a toolkit to support employees in the next wave of change. For a reminder of what Wave 2 looked like, please refer to this deck.
- Once the tenant migration is complete, we will be able to provide more comprehensive guidance on what the end user experience will be like for migrated users and non-migrated users, as well as what users should be doing to prepare and when.
