Only got a minute: Here’s what you need to know from ETS:
- DONE: ServiceNow soft-launched to IT: Slides and Link
- DONE: Configuration and stand-up of our interim dev environment for our pathfinder applications within Azure and the Co-located data centers!
- DONE: IAM Infrastructure stood up: Azure AD (Service Accounts Only), RSA (Master Identity Management – No Live Data yet!) Active Directory (Service Accounts Only)
We’ve heard your feedback that you would prefer detailed posts on specific subject areas, and we’re currently working on these. We’ll continue to produce this biweekly transition update, but wherever possible keep it brief, and produce individual posts where resourcing allows. As always, we hope you enjoy the update and please don’t be shy asking us any questions on the ETS – Ask Us Anything Teams channel. If you aren’t getting what you need from ETS, please help us improve by giving feedback - we want to hear from you!
Network - Paul Graham
Almost all focus in our workstream is on the negotiations with the new network provider, CenturyLink, and getting the contract framework in place to ensure we can start to provision and enable service transition before the end of September. The CenturyLink team continue to impress us with their collaborative and flexible approach, and our aspiration is to conclude this part of the process in the next 2 weeks (legal validation allowing).
Cloud - Calum Bell
This week we completed the configuration and stand-up of our interim development environment for our pathfinder applications within Azure and the Co-located data centers! We’re now working with the InfoSec & Privacy groups to get final sign-off to make these live for the world.
Identity - Calum Bell
As of this week, each of our infrastructure items has now been stood up with base connectivity and configuration, this involves:
- Azure AD (Service Accounts Only)
- RSA (Master Identity Management – No Live Data yet!)
- Active Directory (Service Accounts Only)
We are now working with GSIT to execute the integration build with Workday to begin pulling test data into the environment. We also heard your feedback, so we’ve been working on a series of posts which simplify what Identity means to App Owners and should be ready to begin releasing these in the next week or so.
Workplace, Collab and Productivity - Ellie Burn
- We’ve received positive feedback from some of our first sites using our new meeting room equipment from Logitech– A full post with pictures to come soon
- We’re currently working on a program of discovery to check feasibility of converting SharePoint sites into PowerApps. We ran a hackathon last week to kick this off and will be documenting the findings to share with the rest of IT as we learn more.
- We are working to understand Zoom’s current webinar capabilities, sticking to our principles of using fewer products for multiple capabilities. We have been testing Zoom in real scenarios as a replacement for GoToWebinar and ON24.
Service Management (ServiceNow: Employee Portal, IT, HR, E&C) - Ben Nuthak:
- ServiceNow soft-launched to IT on Aug 1, located at TheSpot.Elanco.com. We’re finalizing some training videos and documents to distribute in the coming weeks, but if you look through these slides and use the Search bar in the Spot, you’ll be able to navigate this first iteration quickly.
- We’ve got a few bugs we’re cleaning up in the back end, mainly around some HR and CMDB data, so you may see some weird things these first couple weeks as we iteratively clean up and continue pushing enhancements into Prod.
