Elanco IT Team,
Below is a snapshot of recent updates.
ETS
ETS publishes a roundup of ongoing projects, updates and successes across a range of areas including Network, Identity, Collaboration and Workplace Services, Site Services & Real Estate and ETS-specific PMO updates, among many others on a bi-weekly basis and can be accessed here.
Recent highlights include:
- Network: We’ve put out an RFP to a list of vendors for our managed service provider. This will be the vendor responsible for IT help desk, end-user and InfraOps servicers across the globe. We are looking to shortlist, select and have them in place for the first site migration in August.
- Collaboration: Microsoft is positioned to be a strategic partner with an increased level of engagement. We finalized an agreement that provides us with broad access to the Microsoft ecosystem including operating systems, licensing, Office 365, Azure (cloud computing) and information security. We lined up a SWAT team of experts to help us to understand the massive complexity behind migrating our data.
- Real Estate / Sites: We signed contracts with Equinix for co-location data centers and are beginning the build process. These sites will be the nexus of the new Elanco network, including where we host our private cloud infrastructure as well as where our public cloud providers connect.
- We developed a draft site cutover schedule which is being reviewed with key business leadership. At the IT town hall in March we shared a quarter-by-quarter granularity of this plan, but now we’ve reached a great level of detail and are working month-by-month. More details to come.
- ETS created an Ask Us Anything channel on Microsoft Teams. Please don’t be shy about asking questions or giving us feedback in the Conversations tab. We are building out this channel to provide additional information. The following pages can be seen on our ETS information page:
PMO
- Cora Portfolio Tool: All Stallion IT projects, including current risks and issues have been entered into Cora, our primary management platform (and exclusive source) for tracking. All IT employees have access to Cora to view data and utilize the dashboard/reporting functionality. Cora forms, fields and reports are continually being refined for optimum use for IT functions.
- If you missed the Read-Only training session, you can find a recording (includes guides and key information) from the vendor here: MS Teams > Elanco All IT > IT Business Operations > Files > Portfolio Mgt & Cora Docs
Information Security
Information Security teamcontinues to drive the plans and roadmaps to building a new Elanco that will: Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and assets, such that Elanco is able to deliver on the brand promises to our stakeholders, employees, and customers.
Highlights of some finalized agreements:
- TrustMAPP: Enables Elanco to manage information security as a function of the business and is focused on capability and risk-based outcomes.
- Nehemiah RQ: Will help Elanco monitor and prioritize cyber-risk decisions based on actual business impact; will regularly report changes in cyber risk in real financial terms and evaluate the ROI of investment in security.
- Microsoft – Elanco’s use of the Microsoft suite will enable additional security features that will help protect our data and users while enhancing productivity.
Info Sec has also recently launched the Protect Elanco mailbox and internal website for our workforce. You may also use the mailbox ProtectElanco@elanco.com if you have a question and need further support.
