To create more focus on our future state projects and deliverables, the following organizational changes are being announced:
Fred Wenzel, Director – Manufacturing & Quality IT has accepted the additional role of the PMO (Program Management Office) owner for the Elanco IT organization as well as assisting with the ERP implementation. To allow Fred the capacity for this increased responsibility, he will transfer a majority of his Manufacturing and Quality IT responsibilities to Todd Elliott, Director – Manufacturing & Quality IT. Fred will remain on the EEM (Elanco External Manufacturing) Lead Team of Olivier Froelich and will transfer the oversight of the internal manufacturing sites to Todd. To make this change more effective the Elanco Manufacturing and Quality IT organization will continue to expand the regional site IT oversight.
- Dave Blumenow: Speke IT Manager will oversee Huningue IT and Wusi IT
- Annie Hopper: Clinton IT Manager will oversee Kansas City IT and Terre Haute IT
- Ayman Abuelghate: PEI IT leader will oversee Winslow IT
The above transitions will occur during Q4/2018.
Ben Hall has accepted the Advisor-IT-ERP role reporting to Fred Wenzel, Director – Manufacturing & Quality IT. Within this role, Ben will be responsible driving the planning and execution of the ERP implementation program. Ben will work with key stakeholders and ERP subject matter experts to drive alignment to the technical design, and will be accountable for the overall program management in solution delivery.
Ben started his professional career in ERP consulting and is excited to be returning to the space. He is currently the Manager of IT Compliance and Operations and has spent the past three years helping to transform and mature the IT compliance position of the global IT organization.
Prior to joining Elanco, Ben held roles at Covance, and at Lilly in the CSQA organization managing quality oversight of GBIP, GIS, and G&A organizations, and leading the global portfolio and resource management team. Within Elanco’s new organizational design, Ben’s current role will move into the Elanco Quality System organization reporting to Astrid Cardenas.
In a related move, Michelle Grabczak has moved back to Eli Lilly as an Advisor on the Lilly SAP team focused on strategic projects and global Manufacturing and Supply Chain initiatives. Initially, she will also act as Lilly liaison back to the Elanco ERP effort.
Chris Tayler has accepted the role of Business Integrator, within the Elanco IT - Manufacturing Global Solutions team. In this role, Chris will be responsible to work across the Elanco organization to drive the future state Lab solutions. This role will work directly with the Central and site teams to evaluate, recommend, and delivery lab solutions. In addition, Chris will work across the R&D organization to ensure alignment and synergy in the spirit of One Elanco. Chris, will report to Jeff West, and will influence the future state support structure required for the new Lab Solutions.
Chris originally joined Elanco at the Dundee, Scotland manufacturing facility during the Novartis acquisition in 2015. While at Dundee, he provided a wide range of IT and Automation services to the site as the IT Lead. After the sale of the Dundee site, Chris transitioned into his current role with Lilly MQIT in late 2016 where he provides global GxP workstation and mobility support and strategic direction. Prior to his role in Dundee, he spent 4 years working in IT and engineering within the mining industry. Chris holds a bachelors’ degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Dundee.
This change will be effective November 1st with transition occurring during Q4/2018. Chris will remain hosted at the Speke Manufacturing site. Please join us in congratulating Chris on his accomplishments and wishing him well in his new role.
