PM check-in Tips, Expectations, & Etc
GOAL: Supervisors and employees should have at least two check-in conversations focused on goal progress and learning.
While the check-in conversations should be more informal, the dialogue should include:
- Progress on individual goals and development
- Barriers to achieving progress and plans to mitigate, and
- Changes to organizational and/or individual goals
- Performance and development highlights
Tips
- Ensure you articulate and align on status of objectives
Where are you behind, on track, ahead
Is it clear what the next 3 -4 months look like in terms of deliverables
- Articulate the ‘outcomes’ of what you did in terms of impacts, value, and business partner feedback
- Ensure you are reviewing and discussing career goals. Highlight areas you might be interested in, especially as strategic decisions are being made for Elanco.
