We are happy to share that Barbara Chappell has been selected to serve as a Lilly Connecting Hearts Abroad Ambassador in 2017!
This commitment includes a two-week service assignment in October at the Bagamoyo, Tanzania location. Barb is excited to prepare to be one of the ambassadors from a global group of Lilly volunteers. Her group will assist with public health education programs through a series of events in community institutions such as schools, clinics and hospitals where volunteers use existing materials to educate community members on prevention and early detection for malaria and diabetes. Upon her return, Barb plans to share her experience with us in a town hall.
